The Houston Texans go into week 18 only needing to lose to secure the #1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft

Instead they come to play leading the colts for a while, only to surrender the lead

But Houston isn't done yet

They score a TD with less than 1minute left, and then say "Fu¢k it, we don't want the #1 pick, let's go for a 2pt conversion to win the game!"

And they do just that lol

The successful 2pt conversion gives the Texans the win and hands the #1 overall pick to the Chicago Bears instead ?‍♂️?

Doesn't matter they taking a QB most likely Bears are not
Even if not who is so great they miss out?

Bears are probably looking at a punter or long snapper. Bears will be Bears

Bears will get a big haul for that #1 pick as now every team who wants a specific QB will be giving them a call. I agree, I don't think any of the available college QB's is a sure thing. Bears need to draft Will Anderson.

Maybe. Is there a QB worth trading up for?
Virtually everyone has Bruce Young going 1st

Bears obviously have Justin fields, so teams needing a QB will be throwing offers at Chicago to move up to #1

Bears will probably accept and move down taking extra picks

I'm a bucs fan and we've lost out on great players for winning a meaningless last game and messing up draft position

Calvin Johnson was one of them

Don't tell the coaches and players not to play to win.

Houston actually got better as the year progressed.

Bravo Houston.

Probably one of the dumbest teams I’ve ever watched

not only do they lose the #1, they help Indy, another division rival, go up a spot! Yes Chicago isn’t taking the QB, but they could have still traded it. So dumb, not sure of the logic here

the love of the game and all the emotions it unwinds.
They play to win, win football games not draft picks, and they only get 17 cracks at it.

It is not A lock that the bears are not drafting QB.
That organization is going to have to have a long discussion on if Fields has shown enough to warrant passing up a QB at 1 .

And dispite your statement even if Chicago does not go QB that’s still not going to stop another team from trading up to that spot and taking one in front of Houston .

Bottom line Houston was idiots yesterday . Just like the Jets were 2 years ago when they blew getting T Lawerence

And then Houston fires it’s coach a few hrs later .
I wonder if that had something to do with it

You guys just assume Chicago is in love with fields .

Not saying they won’t keep him but they could easily move off him if they deem Young or Stroud worthy
